I mean this is what I want when I think of dive bar. Friendly people. Dingy but clean bathrooms. I saw the yelp reviews and got worried, but was awesome as an out of towner. Bartender offered up a free shot and had one with me. Free pretzels. Laidback vibes and all around cool people. Will definitely be back.

Mulligan's Brick Bar is an institution in Allentown. If you haven't drank there, you aren't a true Buffalonian, or if you are new to town, you haven't fully integrated into our society yet. I stopped here after dinner at Mother's with my friends on a Friday night. There were a few people at the bar, but nothing crazy. It was still pretty early in the night, before the usual crowd would be stepping in. My friends and I enjoyed drinks and darts, away from the bar. It was a fun experience and return to normal activities.

If you're looking for one of the least pretentious bars on Allen, reasonable prices, and some of the best bartenders around then you've found your place. Don't listen to the bitter reviews of a couple. Brick is a gem.

Brick Bar is my favorite bar in Allentown. Bartenders are nice and attentive and it draws a good crowd, mix of hipsters, young professionals, and really all types. Music is a good mix and they have darts and pool too. The only negative is the bathroom- it's a little gross (just wet floors really), but I would say it's on par with other dive bars. I've been here many times on the weekends and it's usually packed! My most recent stop in was the Thursday before Veterans Day and surprisingly there weren't too many people out that night. Come to Brick Bar if you like decent-priced drinks, meeting friendly strangers, and having a fun time. :)
